毎月1日に翌月の予約が解禁される すし処新田中 さん、ようやく予約の日が来たので行ってきました。
予約時間ちょうどに店内に案内されます。
座席は結構狭めで、そのためか座るときには店員さんが椅子を引いてくれます。隣の人と当たってしまいそうなくらい狭いですが、店員さんの応対や店の雰囲気が良くむしろ心地よい狭さに感じました。
カウンターに座るとまずは飲み物を聞かれるので生中をオーダー。(お茶かお水を頼むお客さんも多かったです。)
カウンターの奥からは職人さんが、声を掛けてくれます。「まずは鮪づけと中とろをお出しします。その後の注文はこちらから声を掛けますのでオーダーを考えておいてください。」
一人の職人さんが二組のお客さまの握りを担当する感じで、次何を頼むか迷うくらいのタイミングでオーダーを聞いてくれます。
まずは(無料では)1回しか頼めない車海老、生雲丹、穴子を、ついでに勘八もオーダー。注文は一人1回に2種類なので、二人で4種類8貫頼みます。(ちなみに1回しかオーダーできないメニューは二人で1回2貫まででした。)
車海老、生雲丹、穴子はもちろん美味しいのですが、その後食べた全てが美味しかったです。特に勘八や縞鯵はハラス寄りで激好み、鰯も素晴らしかった。あとは塩でいただく栄螺に、鯛も堪らなくおかわりしてしまいました。生牡蠣も美味し過ぎておかわり、太刀魚はよく食べる刺身とも異次元の美味しさ、牡丹海老もねっとり美味しかった。もう全てが美味しすぎて、普段だったら中とろをリピートするところそんなこと忘れる程でした。江戸前らしく醤油を塗るか塩をかけて供してくれるのですが、この醤油か塩かがもう最高な合わせ方で出してくれるのです。
女性の職人さんだったからか、こちらの女性を気遣ってくれてかシャリが小さめだったのも有り難かったです。それでも二人で62貫、もうお腹いっぱいでした。これにあら汁のお椀とデザート(この日はスイカ)が出て一人5,280円はコスパ最強かと思います。
